Perhaps you feel drawn to making things with your hands.
Maybe you long for calm, rhythm, and a sense of connection — but you’re not sure where to begin.

You don’t need perfection.
You just need a place to start.

That’s where we come in.

Meet Sam —

Your Creative Guide

Designing and stitching have always been part of my bones.
Inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement and the soulful world of William Morris,
I’ve spent a lifetime gathering threads, fabrics, pebbles, poems and memories.

From my London studio nook, I create sewing and embroidery patterns designed with you in mind — simple, achievable, rhythmic, grounding.

You don’t need experience.
You just need willingness.

comfort

Life can be challenging.  Caring for my little brother through cancer and then his death was my greatest challenge in life.  Grief moved in without an invitation, settling in the quiet parts of my mind.  And learning to use the simplicity of hand sewing to quieten the thoughts has been a life line for me.  This is what I want to share with you, this way of sewing that can help through all the challenges of life.

Why LaZenby Exists

You want to enjoy the calm that making beautiful things brings —
not get lost in confusing instructions or perfection pressures.

So I design  and workshops that:

  • feel approachable
  • soothe your nervous system
  • build confidence
  • invite creative flow

Beginners and the overwhelmed, especially, are my heart’s work.
Children stitch without fear — and adults can learn to do the same – and love the creations.

You already have creativity inside you —
I simply help you unlock it.

The Journey Matters More Than the Finish

At Lazenby, we believe:

The wellness benefits of sewing is more valuable than the finished piece.

Just a few minutes of stitching a day can:

  • calm the mind
  • quiet anxiety
  • reconnect us with creativity
  • become a comfort
  • offer grounding and presence

That’s why our workshops and designs focus on:

  • mindful making
  • hand sewing, rhythmic stitching
  • projects where stillness comes before perfection

You don’t need big blocks of time — just a few minutes with your cup of tea – so it becomes a lovely part of your day.

Your Invitation

Start small.
Sew slowly.
Allow stitching to soften you.

We’ll offer the guidance, patterns, workshops, and encouragement —
all you need is curiosity and a few quiet minutes.

Let’s make something —
for your hands,
for your mind,
for your heart.

Mellow stitching,
Sam
