KIDS LEARN TO LOVE SEWING

This little heart was stitched by Eloise, age 6, all by herself.  There is a big blobby tangle on the back but it doesn’t matter.  She loved sewing it and wears her creation with pride and a big smile.

We used a stick and stitch sashiko heart – this is a great idea for a first project – a simple shape on an old T-shirt.

Eloise wore some 1970’s dress up spectacles to protect her eyes as she was not used to using a sharp needle.

eloise’s next project

Eloise made this kit, drawing and cutting out the letters of the word she wanted to add to her T-shirt.  She only managed to stitch a couple of letters, it doesn’t matter.  She loved the moment, and was so proud to put her T-shirt on after creating and making it herself.

She did a wonderful job!

Adding words, names and dates to projects will be included on the membership site.

treasure kids clothes

We will adventure into how to turn kids clothes into lovely additions to a quilt.  Dungarees have been turned into a lines pocket on a cuddle quilt.  Leave little treats for kids to discover when they cuddle under the quilt in front of TV.   Lots of ideas to decide what will work for your creation.
